Wonton

Photobucket

Mummy always makes around one hundred wontons at one time, and put them in the freezer.
It's really handy, so whenever Mummy wants to cook something with wonton, I just grab them from the freezer.

Rita from Mochachocholaterita invited me to join in her party,
Celebrating My 88th Post: A CHINESE TAKE-OUT PARTY & Lucky Draw!
so I contributed this recipe for the occasion. Hopefully Mummy will be a winner for the lucky draw. Fingers Crossed !!!!

100 gram shrimp minced
350 gram pork minced
1 egg
4 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp white pepper
1 tsp ginger powder
a little bit of sugar and salt
Carrot, cut it into cubes
2 spring onions, cut.

Wonton wrappers
Egg Whites

1. Put the ingredients in the bowl, blend them together thoroughly.
2. Lay on the wonton wrapper, and moisten the edges with egg white
3. Place 1/2 tsp of wonton filling in the centre of wonton wrapper, fold it up, press the centre and shape the wonton however you like, repeat with remaining wontons.
4. Boil some water in the steamer, steam the wontons for about 15 - 20 minutes.

**** Serve the wontons with sweet chilli sauce or use them for a wonton soup.
